This section is here because I can't stop fiddling about with the site - a bit here, a bit there!  It also takes me away from the mineral spirit fumes of the studio for a spell...So it's also healthy.  For me, that is!   For you, however, it's a shade like one of those horrible moments when a relative says:  "...and we have one or two slides of the holiday you can look at..."

So, basically, it's left to you...The thing about this one is that you will offend no-one if you hit a button on the page and slope off someplace else...(That's probably what I would do!)

For those stalwarts who are still here...

My "Writing" period began when I received the first actual letter from a publisher; as opposed to the more usual  "...Shove off and waste someone else's time, Dumbo!..." photocopy.  In high expectation, we bought a boat - ("Maple Leaf"), moored it on the Thames at Hampton Wick, and I put my nose to the writing-in-earnest grindstone.  That period lasted some 4 years, and was magnificent. NOTE:  We bought "Lola" as a wreck and spent many happy hours renovating her in spare moments. She was eventually exchanged for a camper van, which took us to Paris and a fresh start in music.   The period came to timely end when two things happened almost simultaneously; firstly I seemed to lose interest in writing when the ninth book was in print and, secondly, the boat sank!

The other periods are too inter-connected to delineate effectively, but the images from the "Music" period accurately depict the salient points.
