Right:  "The Devil's Tooth" A group of rocks a mile or so west of Porthtowan. They appear benign here, but are far from that!

Back in 1800-and-something a ship called "Rose of Devon" grazed these rocks in a storm and ended its life on Porthtowan beach, where bits of it can be seen to this day.
