Myself...

Herself:
Elaine has a story worth telling, but since she is currently studying for an English degree, I'm going to let her tell it herself...(
in the fullness of time!)
Her Page
2007 Update: we are very proud of her; she completed her degree and can now place "BA" after her name. She now teaches at Truro College, where she took her degree!
In the current absence of page-input from her, she does figure heavily on my bio page.

LEFT: Number One son, Matthew, as he was when this site was conceived...and, RIGHT: as he is now, aged 15...Now he sits at the piano most of the time and, like his father, is heavily into jazz...(amongst other stuff!).

2006 update!
This is progress, right?  He's off to university shortly...I wonder what the next update will reveal?

Number Two son, Sammy and dad playing chess.

Sammy. This is here because he reckons you can't see his face on the other one. Fair comment, I suppose... I can't remember exactly when these pictures were taken, but it wasn't yesterday! Sam is eleven now, and his instrument is the guitar...Classical and jazz...they're both chips off the old block! (I did not, incidentaly, plan it that way in cold blood...I guess it's what happens when you grow up in a house reeking of jazz and classical music)   His page. sam2.jpg (17432 bytes)

2006 update...There's another pic  coming shortly!  I'll tell you one thing: he's suddenly realised that there are two sexes in the world...and that the one that doesn't own a skateboard isn't half bad!

Left: 2007 Update

The old homestead. My studio on the left. The front wall is my own work. Yes, I know; it's all out of character and not exactly built to perfection. But it's the way I wanted it. Herself said she liked it! I used to do stuff like that as a release - pre back problems. One day the entire house will emulate the picture opposite and collapse in an undignified heap!

View, from our front garden, of the seething heart of our village. This picture was also taken some considerable time ago, but the view has not changed at all!
2006 update:  This view has still not changed in the slightest!
2007 update: The white van you see in the distance, has actually gone now!

My studio. It used to be the garage, and when the weather comes from a certain direction, the place leaks like the devil. The conversion was my own work again, you see.
