I'm no-one's
idea of a portrait painter, least of all my own. But jazz musicians
are weird people anyway, so it doesn't matter so much if the effect is a
shade weird. That's my excuse, anyway... The images on this page were painted for various reasons, but mostly as commissions from other musicians. They are all 12"x16" canvasses. This one is of Chet Baker. |

"Ornette Coleman" ...back when he was playing a Grafton acrylic saxophone. Charlie Parker played one of those for a spell. So did I for that matter. They didn't take on in the end, but they produced a nice sound. |
